My fudgy, moist Halloween Witches Brownie Recipe. Great for using up your leftover newt eyes and frogs teeth! Halloween is next week! This is perfect for your Halloween party. It is easy, delicious, funky, colourful and most importantly, chocolatey. Yum!
What You'll Need
  • 190g Unsalted Butter + A little for greasing the baking tin
  • 190g Dark Chocolate
  • 40g Cocoa Powder
  • 100g Plain Flour
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 300g Light Brown Sugar
  • A Pinch Of Sea Salt
  • To Decorate
  • Your favourite Chocolate Bars, M&Ms, Edible Eyes, Sweets
How to Make It
  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C/338°F.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and chocolate separately in a microwave or small pan. Check the chocolate every 30 seconds to stop it from burning. Pour the melted butter and the chocolate into a bowl and mix completely. Set aside.
  3. Sieve the cocoa powder and plain flour into a bowl. Mix them with a spoon and set aside.
  4. Put the eggs and brown sugar into a bowl. I used light brown sugar for baking. Whisk them with an electric whisk for 3 - 8 minutes depending on the power of your electric whisk. When it is done, it should look like milk shake.
  5. Pour the butter/chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Gently fold them over with a spatula making sure not to knock out the air.
  6. Add a pinch of sea salt.
  7. Add the cocoa/flour mixture and mix them gently. Don’t overdo it.
  8. Grease the brownie tin with a little butter. Line the bottom of the tin with a square of baking paper.
  9. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until done. The cooking time will differ depending on your oven. You can check if it’s done by inserting a cocktail stick into the middle of the brownie. If it comes out almost clean it is ready.
  10. When the brownie is baked, take it out of the oven and decorate the brownie with chocolate bars, sweeties, M&Ms and edible eyes while it is still warm. Leave it in the tin until it has completely cooled. Remove from the tin, cut into 9-12 squares and enjoy!
