Ssamjang and Sesame Oil Dipping Sauce are perfect with any cooked meat. Ssamjang is also an amazing dip for your favourite vegetables but goes especially well with cucumbers, carrots and celery. Pack it in your lunchbox for a change from hummus or your usual dip. You'll be glad you did.
What You'll Need
  • Ssamjang
  • 5 tbsp Doenjang
  • 2.5 tbsp Red Pepper Paste
  • 2 tbsp Corn Syrup (can be replaced with sugar)
  • 1 tbsp Mashed Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Coke (can be replaced with lemonade)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Spring/Green Onions
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Sesame Seeds
  • Sesame Oil Dipping Sauce (1 serving)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
How to Make It
  1. For Ssamjang, put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir thoroughly. You can add more sugar or sesame oil for your taste.
  2. For the Sesame Dipping Sauce, in a small bowl or saucer add the sesame oil and sprinkle the salt on top. There are variations like adding a pinch of black pepper or mashed garlic, but sesame oil and salt is delicious enough for me!
